Where the Magic Happens

I’m really excited about getting to travel all the way to New York City! We get to stay for ten whole days, which feels like a dream. While we’re there, we’ll be performing in an Off-Broadway musical—how cool is that?

Did you know the difference between Broadway and Off-Broadway shows is actually based on the size of the theater? Broadway theaters have 500 or more seats, while Off-Broadway theaters are smaller and more intimate. Our show will be performed in the Cullum Theatre at The American Theatre of Actors, which has 125 seats. That means the audience will be nice and close, and we’ll really get to connect with them!

Even more exciting—this theater has some history! A famous musical called Urinetown, which went on to win three Tony Awards, first gained popularity right there in the Cullum Theatre. It’s amazing to think we’ll be performing on the same stage!

This whole experience feels like a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and I can’t wait to see the city, perform, and make unforgettable memories.
